Twilight fever hits London... and me.

Ooh hello hangover.
It's been a while since I've had one as miserable as you.
You know you're in trouble when an Alka Seltza does jack all. Literally nothing.
Anyway, I couldn't think of anything more perfect than going to see a film at the cinema on a horrific hangover.
Not just any film, I may add.
The new Twilight film Breaking Dawn Part 1 at the huge London premiere.

Twilight premiere ticket
Despite not being a teenager, and not having a delusional fantasy that there are perfect men on planet earth, I still absolutely love Twilight.
I love every god damn minute, of every film.
I've read all the books, seen all the previous films a few times over and I am 100% Team Edward.
I know, I know. I'm even slightly embarrassed as I write this.
But for some reason, unbeknown to me, I buy into the Twilight obsession wholeheartedly and with passion.
I am completely absorbed with Robert Pattinson's character Edward Cullen.
I love what he stands for, his out-of-control gentlemanly ways and deep-routed belief in soul mates.
I am not fickle like my mates who flick between Team Edward and Team Jacob (his werewolf love rival) depending on how long Jacob keeps his top off and flexes his outrageously, impressive pecks.
Anyway, all that side, the premiere was amazing. A perfect snowy, winter wonderland.
The red carpet was changed to white carpet, covered with snow and mistletoe.
It was freezing.
Robert, Kristen and Taylor
The main stars Robert Patttinson, Kirsten Stewart and Taylor Lautner were all there.
Kristen looked amazing in a gothic long, black dress.
And R Patz really does look like Edward in the flesh. Brooding and moody. With his poignant stare and strong, angular face.
I'm not going to give too much away for anyone who hasn't seen the film yet, but the birth scenes are incredible.
The CGI during the pregnancy is disturbing and the wedding\ honeymoon scenes are enough to make any girl want to get married. Immediately, if not sooner.
Already, I can't wait for the final film.
It will be the end of my love affair with Edward Cullen, who unfairly gives women false hopes that one day they'll find their very own Edward.
Ladies, a man this sensitive, chivalrous and full of emotion does not exist.
I feel sorry for the young teenager girls watching who honestly think men like this are available. They're not.
And I feel sorry for men who get a bad rap now because they're emotional void and a million miles away from Edward's perfectness. Sigh.
Anyway, here's some pics from the premiere. One of my favourite nights in 2011.

Sonja and me getting excited before the show
Here's the story we wrote in the Daily Star the following day about R Patz.
He says he has to live like James Bond in true 007 spy style.

The Glamour Women of the Year Awards

The Glamour bash is always rammed full of good celebrities.
This year didn't disappoint.
Davina McCall, Michael McIntyre, Dermot O'Leary, Louis Walsh, Dizzie Rascal, Kristen Stewart, Kim Kardashian, The Kings of Leon, JLS, Sugababes, The Saturdays etc...
Highlights of the night included...
* Host James Corden starting off a continual joke that he'd slept with Davina McCall's husband Matthew (so has Dermot, Dawn French and Micheal McIntyre apparently).
* JLS's Marvin having such a low cut top on you could practically see his nipples.
* Ryan Giggs being the brunt of most jokes on stage
* Jessie J - she's great. So normal and sexy and well...my new girl crush
* Kristen Stewart dying on stage - she's so necessarily awkward and stuttery. It's annoying.
* Dizzie Rascal saying he "thought my dress was banging". Nice.
* Davina McCall stoking and kissing my face while telling me how "amazing" her hubby is in bed
* Been given a Pandora Charm bracelet during dinner (they were the sponsors)
* Eating quails eggs for the first time, and enjoying them
* Seeing how excited Ellie Goulding was when American legend Stevie Nicks came on stage
* Knowing that Dragons Den's Peter Jones coordinated his sparkly purple tie with purple stripey socks.

Busy Old Week

The general conception that January's the quietest month of the calendar is nothing more than a myth.
My diary's already jam-packed with meetings, work lunches, celebrity events (ie. more work) and friend's birthdays.

I've so far managed a eye watering, inconceivable, fifteen days without booze and junk food ( the longest since my drinking hobbie began). I've joined the company gym. And I even went on a Saturday. A Saturday. The day of perceived weekend fun.

I managed to meet a group of mates for dinner and then to the pub on Thursday night, without touching a drop of the devil's finest. I'll go as far as saying, I enjoyed myself. Despite watching my mates chugging back Pinot by the boat load.

This week my editor declared she's sending me to Los Angeles for the Oscars at the end of Feb, which, fingers crossed, should be a good crack. Hard work, but hopefully pretty radical at the same time.

In work news... Jordan's yet to publicly announce her divorce to long suffering fella Alex Reid.
Despite definitely filling for divorce, Katie Price has decided to let the air clear before she serves Alex the papers and boot him out of their marital home.
A cynical hack would assume she's doing everything possible to get even more coverage in the red tops. However, her 'pals' claim Reidy is devastated and needs a few days to sort out his head before the news goes global. The poor sod.

In other news....

Epic boozer Kate Moss thinks her nonstop paryting has ruined her body and face. Mossy's vowed to put her Croydon Caner ego to bed in 2011 and hopes to stop smoking and boozing like Oliver Reid in drag.

Blood sucker Robert Pattinson and real life sex friend Kristen Stewart will never work together again. While Twilight fans sob off their black eyeliner cranky Kristen promised "We’ll be pursuing solo projects from now on.”

And nutcase Gillan McKeith's convinced she'll become a Hollywood actress and star in a comedy blockbuster with Ricky Gervais. She also threatened to sign up for Dancing On Ice next year.
No Gillan, no.
